Are NIB mortgages available thru' brokers ?

Just wondering as their tracker <60% LTV is the cheapest (3.1% APR, 5.57per 1000) but brokers appear not to use them.

Seems a pity, as discount brokers such as REA and PrimaFinance give good deals on the legal side if mortgages are arranged thru' them.

Ideally, the best deal would be this tracker + the legal offers from the discount brokers ?

NIB don't deal through brokers at the moment. I don't disagree with what you have said but not everyone wants a tracker mortgage. Also many people would not have a LTV < 60%.

Thanks for the links.

I tried 'lowcostlegal' quote for selling a property. This is the quotation returned;

Legal Fee € 900
VAT @ 21% € 189
Subtotal € 1089
Outlays not chargeble to VAT
Stamp Duty on Purchase Deed € 11100
Stamp Duty on Mortgage € 0
Stamp Duty on Counterpart Mortgage € 12.5
Stamp Duty on Assignment of Life Policy € 12.5
Land Registry Fees on Purchase Deed € 500
Land Registry Fees on Mortgage € 0
Land Registry Fees on Certificate of Charge € 0
Land Registry Fees on Copy Folio € 25
Land Registry Fees for New Folio € 0

Commissioners for Oaths € 20

Search Fees € 70

Subtotal € 11740

GRAND TOTAL € 12829

So it costs €12,829 to sell my house !!
What is 'Stamp Duty on Purchase Deed € 11100' ??

.

Stamp Duty on Purchase Deed € 11100

looks like they quoted on a house purchase not a house sale... ring them back and confirm its a quote for a house sale you require.

I kinda figured that it was Stamp Duty on a Purchase, However, the quote was for SELLING a house. Looks like their online quote system is a bit faulty

I ran an online quote with [broken link removed] and it worked out €150 cheaper than what my own solicitor quoted me... hardly a massive saving.
