Hi
A quick question if I may;
Has anyone recently switched to NIB for mortgage?
Says in the info that they will fund legal fees, I can't find the catch (ie BoI offering same but have to borrow 200,000 plus)...
Any feedback welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I'm in the process of switching. They give you two options regarding legal fees. If you get your own solicitor then they'll refund you a max of EUR600 (I think that's the correct amount). Alternativaly you can go with their solicitor and not have to pay anything. I went with the latter.

Moving to NIB has cost me absolutely nothing.

I switched last May and had no problems, I used the solicitor they offered and it was fine. I am paying the same amount as I was previously but have taken 5 yrs off my term with there .5% LTV ratio for those with 50% or less.

I switched to NIB last March, used their solicitor so it cost nothing to do the switch, and everything went fine.

I switched when the deal first came out. Drawn out but im sure they had more business than they could handle at the time. However, its well worth the hassle in the long run.
Used a solicitor off their list - no problems whatsoever. Valuer must be MIAVI registered.
Theres a previous thread thats got all the info on this if you do a search.

Thank you all for replies, going to see them this week hopefully.
Delighted to hear all went smoothly and cost effectively for everyone.
Thanking you all again.
