Health Insurance New VHI policy when previous insurance was UK corporate scheme

Ill ask VHI when the time comes but i have noticed that when you go onto the website and it asks were you previously insured its only providing a drop down of irish insurers, what if you had a corporate plan that was out of the uk (even though the family and i were resident in ireland), do they still accept that?

No, not accepted.

VHI have their own International policy which helps maintain waiting periods for those working/living abroad (won't help LCR loading). Only the main 3 and a few specific employer schemes i.e Defence Force etc can be used towards continuous cover. Anything else will not be considered

If you take an Irish policy within 9 months of returning to Ireland, you will avoid the loading but unfortunately it will not help towards your waiting periods. Not sure this helps as you mention being resident in Ireland already so not sure what cover you currently have.
