Did anyone see Tallaght Stadium on tonight's televised game. Can spectators only be accomodated on one side of the ground with no one behind either goal? That's how it looked.

Him Indoors understands that there is no terracing i.e. it is an all seater stadium. This is the planning permission that was granted. If it is to be used for UEFA games it has to be so.

3500 all seater stand at one side of the pitch at the moment, work under way for an identical stand on the other side.

According to this plan, there will be no stands or seats behind either goal

Thanks Sue Ellen and Ronan. Its good to see Shamrock Rovers back in business with a proper home. The League needs a strong Rovers, if only for their supporters' ability to match the utterances from their rivals in The Shed in Turner's Cross.

Great to see a LOI team in Tallaght, Shamrock Rovers will do very well there as Tallaght is football mad! They will get good support and the pick of some of the best footballing talent in Ireland.
