Hi all,

I'm contemplating buying a new car under the scrappge scheme. I have around 12000 Euros to spend and was considering buying the Seat Ibiza. My previous car was a 1.9 Cordoba diesel so I'm happy enough with the reliabilty aspect, but would appreciate any views on the Ibiza or maybe suggest an alternative for my money.

Sister has just ordered 1.4 diesel one, 14,200 with 3500 scrappage in Mayo. She went for one with alloys and fogs, looks lots better. Test drove with her and was impressed, very stylish. But you may find it under powered after 1.9?
 
Thanks for the info. I might try and save a few more Euro and go for the 1.4.

Not too pushed about the underpower issue, mileage has reduced from 25000 a year to 10750 so the savings in fuel and tax should make for happier motoring.
