New rules for 10kg baggage allowances on Aer Lingus

I want to book an Aer Lingus flight and the 1st option is cheaper - 10kg luggage only but you have to check you bag in at airport and not carry in onto the plane like previously. The next option is over €200 more expensive - give you the option of priority boarding, carry bag onto plane and 20 kg allowance. Its a short trip so dont need 20kg allowance.

My question is can you add in "Priority and carry on luggage" after booking the flight - would it work out cheaper doing it this way rather than booking the more expensive option which includes the 20 kg baggage?

There’s a subsequent step where you can add the 10kg carry-on bag for about €8.

By the by, they’re weighing the carry-on bags more regularly these days at Gate A21 in Heathrow’s Terminal 2.

thanks a million, just booked!! Extras were about €50 in total between bags and seats, priority etc. for two people. Delighted!
