New Radiators - How much to replace 2?

Just a quick Q - Our builder is charging €260 and €350 to replace two rads in our house, one in the bathroom (2.5 ft) and the other - a larger one - in the sittingroom. no repiping necessary as just putting in rads to fit the existing pipe work. IS this very expensive?

If this includes the supplying of the rads, it doesn't seem expensive to me.

rosie go to a plumbing business or phone them to get a quote.by doing so you will have a price in mind so you can tackle your builder if not satisfied

I tend to agree with Rainyday here- when you factor in the nett cost of the rads, factor in collection / delivery of materials, an hour or two labour cost and any fittings required...plus profit and VAT?

Thanks a million for responses - I guess its an ok price....it just all adds up!

I recently bought a double 2 metre long radiator including thermostatic valve in Buckleys (with other stuff) for 170 + vat.

just to give you an idea of price - I've spent about 10k in buckleys recently so they factored in a good discount into that price.
