New Phone Line

I have got a phone line in my apt but it has never been used. According to Eircom it costs €124 to stabilise this. Do i need to get the line stablised to get DSL broadband and if so do any of the broadband providers offer this service?

It sounds to me all you have is the connection that was provided by the developer/builder. If there was a line there previously I thought eircom reconnected this at a reduced price. If you only want it for BB why not ask eircom would the line meet thier BB standards.
