New NPPR, full amount still applicable for the final few months of this year?

Hi there,

I've just let out my house for the first time. Property tax for the half year was paid last March. Have contracts signed, tenants in, have registered them with the PRTB and I'm slightly confused with the NPPR. It's being abolished now that the property tax has been implemented? Or do I still have to pay this? On looking on revenue.ie there doesn't appear to be any clarity all it states is the status of the property as of March 31st which doesn't make much sense to me.

As it's revenue and they don't really care if they're double taxing you or not I'm assuming I have to pay it, but it pains me to pay a years tax when it seems to be only for the next 5 months?
