Just to advise that the Revenue have introduced new mileage rates effective from July 2006. Can't understand how they can justify reducing the rates when prices of fuel have increased substantially. ie Rates per mile as at 01st July 2005 were 1.24 for 1.5ltr+ first 4,000miles compared to 0.78now! Petrol in July 2005 was ~1.00p/ltr where as it is now ~1.20p/ltr.

Lorz - Thank you for the reminder to change the rates. Just a note that up to 30 Jun '06 it was eur1.2423 per mile (77.21c per kilometre) for 1501cc+, so from 1 July '06 converting at 1.609k per mile it is eur1.2602 (78.32c*1.609) per mile giving an increase and not a decrease. So you are still ahead otherwise I would have to go back and represent my milage expenses!
 
DOH! Thanks for that - I was really surprised that they would reduce it by so much!
