New Irish film - Black Irish

Just to update people on this film...Heard nothing about a release date but you can now buy it on CDWOW:

So presumably that means a cinema outing is pretty unlikely.

Pity really as we don't have that many opportunities to see good films about the Irish, or films about the Irish abroad, which I'm sure would strike a cord with all those people who have relations who had gone to America many moons ago when they had no choice.

Don't mean to rant about it, but there's plenty of rubbish in the cinema at the moment, and I think an Irish film, which stars our own Brendan Gleeson, would be well received.
 
Bear in mind that Region 1 dvds do not play in (all) Irish DVD Players. Unless you "flash" the region chip.
