Looking at a new house at the moment in a scheme of 3 houses. Price and quality of house is very good and stamp duty is very low as it's a new build. Only issue is that the developer said we will have to have a management company for the shared areas which is something I really don't like. Basically the houses are the back of other houses and there is a tarmac driveway (which will be shared by all 3 houses) up to the houses. It's the tarmac driveway and walls that the management company will have to look after!
Anyway, I have something against paying an annual (every increasing!) management fee for something that requires very little management or maintenance.
Is there any way around this?
