New House: Replace window boards?

The wrong size window boards were fitted as the chippy hadn't allowed for the 38mm insulated plaster board.

So in short I need to rip out the existing ones and replace them with the correct ones.

Any pitfalls or advice in doing this? I dont want the windows damaged when the chippy is trying to prise them out. The house is fully plastered at this stage.

Damage to the plaster is the obvious one, but you have prob already thought of that. Plaster is prob coming down to the window board if they were fitting before plastering? if they were fitted afterwards damage will be less.
