New house - dishwasher doesn't fit

Friend just moved into a new house.

All the electricals were delivered yesterday, however when I plummed the dishwasher was tried to place it found that the hole/slot tapered towards the rear.

Can I get the builder to alter? I can do it myself, but don't see why I should waste 30minutes of my time.

Just mention it to the foreman. He should be only too happy to fix it.
