New Bank Account

Hi
I'm due to start a new job soon however I don't have a current account as BOI closed the account due to an unpaid overdraft. Will this effect me when trying to open a new account with a different bank?

I would guess that provided you do not ask for an overdraft with your new bank, they will not do a credit check and therefore there will be no issue opening the account.

PTSB will give you free banking provided you deposit at least 1,500 EUR per month.
