New Apartment - Room Size Change -

Hi

I got a call from my agent stating that my room size of my bedrooms have changed but the overall size is the same. I asked them to Fax or post the new sizes to me and they said i could go on site myself and do it. I am sorry but after paying 305K i expect the builders or the agents to do this. My Apartment is also 9 months delayed !

What do you think ?

We had a simular problem when we bought our house, it was changed inside, however we were never told of the changes, we only noticed when the house was nearly finished, and at that stage we had exchanged contract, we had no comeback, the builder took the view that you could like it or lump it. At the time the agent know about the changes and never told us, we were left with a living room much smaller that the show house, and some of the kitchen lost, I am afraid that this seems to be fairly standard where bulders are concerned. Speak to your solicitor about the matter

Estate agent was so rude and unhelpful, it was unreal, so i asked for her boss. Her boss called and said that they where very sorry etc etc and would get me what i needed. She got a good slap on the wrists and i think we should complain more if you are not happy with the service. I work in Sales myself and i reckon Customer care is King, if you look after them the business can run itself !

The agent should be able to get you the size but I'd prefer to measure it myself, as I wouldn't trust them, especially if the rooms aren't a simple rectangle shape, they'd measure the two longest dimensions rather than the usable dimensions. (Think how accurate they've been about the completion date.)
It's not unusual for rooms to be a couple inches out from the specification, but it's unusual to be told this so it sounds like it should be checked out independently as it's probably more than a couple inches.

But you aren't the customer of the estate agent. The seller is the customer, not the buyer.

I'd have thought that knowing who your customer is, is the first step on Customer Care.
 
Customer or not, there is no reason to be rude to ANYONE!

Manners don't cost a thing.
 
RainyDay ì know what you are saying- I am would consider myself a cleint of the Estate Agent. The builder is paying them good money to sell these apartments.
 
How much has the apartment gone up in value in those 9 months?

Only asking, like.
