Hi

I left Ireland over 3 years ago and I never closed any of my Irish accounts. Today I tried to change the address of my Rabodirect account and realised that I cannot have this account if I'm not a tax resident in Ireland. Will I get into trouble for this?

Also I just sold some of my investments, where do I declare my capital gains? Can I expect revenue to come looking since rabodirect thinks I'm in Ireland.

Ring Rabo and explain the situation. Most likely Rabo will let you close the account without issue.

If you are not a tax resident then the Revenue have no right to go after you. You need to pay capital gains tax in the country that you are now tax resident in.
