Negative equity and end of relationship

Hi,

I bought a house with my girlfriend about a year ago. We are now in negative equity, about 60k. We both legally own 50% of the house each. Our relationship doesnt look like it is going to last much longer and I am trying to find out what options I have with the house. I really do not want to be split up with my other half and end up having to live with her for months afterwards until we get something fixed up with the house. Can anyone give me an idea of what options I have, or point me in the direction of some info

Thanks for your time

why don't you both move out- rent it & service the mortgage with the rent, alternatively sell out & take the 60K hit. If possible i'd opt for renting it.
good luck.

Renting might be an option but selling won't be unless the op and his girlfriend can come up with the 60k to pay the bank back in full.
