Need to download memory card

I was wondering if such a service exists. My Olympus camera is broken and I have a few XD memory cards that I need downloading. When I brought them to Boots, they could only download the photos onto a CD for me. Where can I go to get the videos downloaded too. They are precious memories which I cannot afford to lose.

Anybody with an SD/XD slot on a laptop should be able to read them for you and put them on CD for you.

All is not lost.

Aldi often have a card reader on offer for less than €20 ... attach it to your own PC and it will read your XD card for you.

Even if not on offer in Aldi they might have one in their display cases.
