Need a free site to host music - any recommendations

[Caveat]

I don't want to open a facebook/myspace or whatever account (which I realise is probably the easiest way to do this) I just need somewhere I can post original music to be accssed by whoever I link to it.

Or, failing that, maybe there is a free site something along the lines of the social ones mentioned but dedicated purely to music hosting & info?

You could check out https://www.dropbox.com although this is more about sharing out folders on your own machine rather than uploading them to a hosted site.

Soundcloud seems to be pretty much what I was after - I'll have a look.
