How important is retaining the family home to you?
Which of the following best describes your situation?

I don't care about keeping the family home.

Any other relevant information

We are citizens in this country as my wife is Canadian and have no intention of ever moving back. I have spoken to the bank and they have told me i can sell it but will ahve to pay for the shortfall. They will look for bank statements etc but I would rather not give that to them as I'd prefer if they did not know where i was living etc.

What is your preferred realistic outcome?
I just want to get rid of the house but Im not sure whether to hand back the keys or try to sell. We will struggle to raise the funds for the pyrite test as it will cost approx €3000
