HI,
I have a 96 renault megane. There is a problem with either the receiver unit or the immobiliser unit such that i cannot start the car unless i manually key in a code - which i have been doing for a while. To fix the receiver unit will cost up to 200 whereas the immboliser units is up to 1,000 according to renault.
I have my NCT next month so would prefer to see how many other things are wrong with the car before i spend any money on the car.
Does anybody know whether the NCT will automatically fail the test because they have to key in the code?
