My OH just transfered his Insurance on to a new Landrover (Commercial). I noticed under Duty of Disclosure It states "A VALID NCT IS REQUIRED FOR VALID INSURANCE".
Is this the norm or is it just for Commercial Motor Insuracne?

Seems odd to me because anyone failing the NCT would then have to have their motor towed from the test centre to their home, towed to a garage for repairs, towed back home again, wait ( possibly weeks ) for another NCT test appointment, tow it back again for the retest and hopefully pass the second time. Can't see it been the case thb.

Commercial vehicles do not get a nct, they get a certificate of road worthiness from an approved tester so would this clause apply?
