Hi,

This course is run in our company for a group of people on a regular basis but takes place in Dublin. I think they attend class one night per week. The NCI courses are generally quite good and AFAIK well recognised. If you want specifics let me know and I can ask colleagues what they have thought of it.

Mrs RainyDay did this course years ago in Dublin. It was aimed largely at retail or admin staff who had moved into supervisory roles. It was pretty useful, though there seemed to be a superflous emphasis at an academic approach to research which was largely irrelevant for the target audience.

I did an NCI management course a few years ago, and I agree with RainyDay. It was pretty useful, but my first essay got a low grade because it didn't have enough academic references.
My second essay was devoid of original thought and littered with academic references and I got an A.

The lesson is to decide what you want out of the course, and go after that, even if the course supervisors are interested in the academic essays.
