I regarded Telebanking as telephone banking and so haven't requested telebanking on two accounts i have with them. (fixed rate & easy access)

Apparently I cant withdraw or transfer money on-line without first signing up for telebanking. There's a form I have to fill in with list of designated banks.

Seems so unnecessary Will I still have to phone them everytime I want to make a transaction.

I did it and set it up and to be honest they were on the ball, the fella even went to check the office post and processed it quickly it is a pain but a one off..

We should be able to do this on line after all it is 2011, Even the form can't be filled in on line only by hand

Hi there,

Just after logging onto my NationwideUK online banking with the intention of transferring money to my mandated AIB account (as I have done on three previous occasions in the past year) and it says that I have not assigned a designated account to make withdrawals to.

Anybody know why this has happened?

Cheers

same thing happened to me Acorn. Rang them last week and they were supposed to call me back on it. They still have not called me but I will ring them tomorrow to follow up.If you dont find out before then i will let you know

technical issues which they will log and get repaired, but they did transfer the money I required from getting my details via phone call

I have a 12 month fixed account fully opened with Nationwide UK (Ireland) To open an easy access account do I have to apply with all the relevant id details again via post?

They should not request your AML documentation for a second time. You will need to complete forms etc.

I did this recently and was told so long as the first account wasn't opened more than x months ago.....if I remember right I think it was 8 months but can't be certain.
