What do people think of this investment with An Post (National Solidarity Bond)

Main Features:

100% secured
Gross return 50% after 10 years or 3.96% AER

Is it one of the safe options with a high return or is there alot better out there for No capital risk?

Safest? No. Your money is used to fund the Irish national debt via the NTMA.

10 years is a very long period of time. You would need to be certain that you don't need the money for 10 years and be aware of the risks.

What would you suggest? I have just finished a 5 year 6 month deposit with an post

When they say 100% secure is it not the same as having your money in a bank that deposits are protected??

While you should do your own research in any case, if you are absolutely sure you will have no use for it, the go for it. Or you could consider going with a mixture of NSB and a further shot at the Savings Certs.
