Narrow 0.6acre on a hill?

Anyone offer any advice? We are looking to buy a site and one has come available however while in a great location - it is on a hill and quite narrow - total size 0.6 acre. About 26 yards wide only - we have been told we will need quite a bendy drive way and with that and septic tank etc we are worried that we won't a sizeable house on it - we are hoping to build about 2,500 sq ft. It is important to us to have a sizable garden and we are worried about this site.
Anyone ever do anything similar or can offer and advice?

A split level house, and put the house closer to the public road in order to minimise the length of driveway. The split level will allow you step down the narrow site. You could do it in 3 levels for example.

Even the county councils complain that every house seems to want to build at the top of a site where it is most obtrusive to the landscape rather than at the middle to bottom of a site. If it is as sloped as you describe on a hill then you probably have as good views at the bottom of the site as the top.
