i have been quoted 300 plus vat to put my house on myhome by my estate agent. is that a reasonable charge or do other estate agents charge less? thanks.

Sherry Fitz charged me 200 for myhome advertising about 2 months ago. I had to pay upfront in case I pulled out of sale.

Thanks. i have to pay upfront too which i dont mind about but 300 plus seems excessive.

Do those prices include VAT. I am so annoyed now. I already had to proof read brochure - full of spelling and gramatical mistakes and get the photos taken again. half of them werent in focus.

130 plus vat so works out the same as jergams €157. I wouldn't negotiate with that Ea I'd look for another and pull your business from them before they go any further

You should put it on Daft. I think the cost is only €75, plus you don't have to go through your estate agent to put it on.

Daft should be free with an EA also because agents generally pay them a fixed annual fee and provide the service free of charge to their clients, at least we do anyways

sherry fitz quoted me 158 to put my house up on myhome.ie, i personally think that since myhome.ie is owned by sherryfitz that it should be free

I think its down to quantity of houses?

What I meant is the agent is charged a fee based on the number of houses they put up each month? Private seller is just €190 I think and you don't need to use any agent?

FAQ: Can I advertise my property on MyHome without an Estate Agent?
No you can't advertise independently of a MyHome member estate agent.
