my vat registration is referred to Cardiff

Hi,

I applied for VAT number for my startup company (just start up, registerred 2 months ago) and today I called HMRC and they say they have referred my application to Cardiff.

What this actually means and is it normal?

My business is for Web design.

Wrong country Jerry, this is an Irish site. Maybe HMRC are wondering why the Lions captain and the bulk of the players are Irish? :D
