Must I endorse cheque with the title Mr.?

A counter official in my local branch of the Ulster Bank in South County Dublin is insisting that when I endorse a cheque for lodgment to my account I have also to put the word Mr. on the back of the cheque in front of my signature. I always thought that it was only my signature that is required even if the payee section on the front of the cheque has my title of Mr.? Is she correct to do this?
 
Never came across that before and I lodged a cheque to UB today and endorsed it normally.
 
According to Wikipedia - 'it must be true, right?' - 'Mister' is a title below Knighthood.
 
Tell her that actually Mr. would not be appropriate, as it is in fact Lord Laramie.

You don't have to endorse a cheque with your title only your signature. It is hard to believe that a bank official working in a busy bank would ask someone to do this. If you present a cheque on your account payable to "cash" I wonder how the cashier would deal with it.

Maybe have a bit of fun and draw a cheque on your own account and make it payable to yourself as others have suggested with the words The Right Honourable Laramie in the space for "payee" and see how they deal with it.

I bank with the Ulster Bank. I find the staff generally very poor with the odd exception in my local branch.
