Must I complete a MED 1 if I submit a Form11?

If I complete a Form 11 and include the Medical expenses in the computation, must I send in a MED1 form aswell?

The 2006 paper form 11 has the MED1 form incorporated into it on page 19, sections 622-642. Therefore there is no need to submit a separate Med1 form. You must, however, retain all the receipts in event of an audit of the return.

YES. The ROS Form 11 incorporates the Med1 ( under allowances/reliefs/claims section) so if you complete that part there is no need for a paper Med1 .

If you have filed either on paper or via ROS and then subsequently find that you have med expenses to file for a year already filed, you must then do that on a paper Med1 to get an amended assessment.
