Off to Munich next month for weekend with the mates, any tips on decent bars and restaurants would be much appreciated

Munich has lots of great bars and restaurants right in the center. If you just heard toward Marienplatz (the central square) and then look around, you will have no trouble finding a lively bar in seconds.

Two places you should definitely visit are the Hofbräuhaus and Ratskeller - both very traditional-looking, old places serving Bavarian cuisine and beer. Your visit to Munich would not be complete if you skipped those.

Try the Augustiner place at 27 Neuhauser Strasse. Solid Bavarian food and Augustiner beer

I loved that Hofbräuhaus! Expensive but it is great atmosphere and fun,especially if you are with a group
