Munich Hotel Recommendations

I am heading to Munich at the end of November with 10 of my friends for my birthday.Any recommendations on hotels which are central and not too expensive would be welcome.

I would recommend Hotel Laimer Hof, stayed here at Easter and I am happy to send anyone there, fantastic brekkie and as a family run hotel you will not find better hosts. It was easy to get to from the main train station etc and it is about 10 min walk to a park with an ENORMOUS beer garden, have a look and see if it suits your needs [broken link removed]

Not sure on their current rates but I would recommend the Eden Wolff. It's right beside the main train station and only 15 mins max walk from the centre. For getting around you have U and S Bahn trains and trams right outside the door.
