My beloved and I and our two girls (7 and 1) have finally had enough of commuting, rain, price increases, crime, and tribunals.
So we arfe putting house on market and hope to move to central/souuthern portugal.
We hope to buy a quinta for around 150k, leaving us with around 70k ish as emergency fund.
Areas currently looking into are Evora, aound the lakes in alentejo and more southern areas like ourique. Has anyone experienced a move to portugal and impart any wisdom with regard to the property purchase, education, working, etc.
Any valid input appreciated

Hi HB,

Have a look at the Overseas Property Investment forum and search for Portugal. Although that folder is primarily designed for investors there is a lot of good discussion.

Since yours is primarily a lifestyle decision and not a property investment question Ill leave your question here.
