Moving to Oz but paying tax in Ireland

I am moving to OZ in December for at least 1 year. I will be keeping my job with the company I work with here, i.e will continue to work as if in the country. My wages will be paid into my bank account here and I will continue to pay tax here.

Are there any tax benefits to me doing this i.e with me being out of the country can I claim any tax back?
I plan to be back in June for a while also if this makes any difference, prob 2 weeks.

Appreciate any advice on this situation i.e either pros or cons of doing this rather than being paid in Oz and paying tax there

Have they indicated what you need to do?
Usually a company will make relevant arrangements - e.g. tax equalise or protect you - and pay for an accountant to prepare your Irish and Foreign tax returns.
Ask your HR department firstly - they may have all of these covered for you.
