Moving to Donegal VRT question

Hi, I curently live in the north I have just bought a second hand car in the north (an 05 model) about 3 months ago and have also recently agreed on a house in Donegal which I hope to move into shortly. Question is will I have to pay VRT on this car when I move my life into Donegal and if so how much is it likley to be?

You need to own the car for 6 months before you can bring it across without paying VRT.

If you can wait 6 months buy something above 1.9 30% saving on a car with a 2.0 liter engine.

A nice bmw 330d for example could save 10 to 15 grand
