Moving Radiators

Hello

I am moving into a new apartment, and the living room radiator is positioned on a partition wall. I would like to have this moved to another partition wall, in order to make better use of space.
Was going to ask the builder about this, but before doing so was wondering if this is usually a major operation, or something that can be done relatively easily?
Thanks

Straightforward - haven't done it but have seen it done.

You should only have aesthetic decisions to make - your plumber will advise re options for pipes etc.

Not a big job.

May not be so easy now if the apartment is actually near completion- metal and timber stud partitions require timber grounds (ply in the case of metal stud) to take the weight of rads, unless there are already grounds in the new location (unlikely) moving the rad won't be viable. Surface mounted pipework is also inevitable and this does look unsightly in a new build.....

Just cut the plasterboard out and fix your grounds, run your pipework cover up and re-skim if required, hang the rad, job done.

Ive done this before and its not such a big job, but mabye the builder will want to be well paid for it, due to the fact it is fairly unproductive work.
