my bedroom radiator is below the window, but we've got long curtains there now so am thinking of moving it. It'd be moved to where the pipes come into the room on an internal wall (actually on the corner with the external wall). Because of the location - it'd end up behind by bedside table - I'm thinking of getting a vertical radiator but they are strangely much more expensive.
So two questions:
is it better to have a radiator on an internal wall than an external wall?
are the vertical radiators as effective as the old tried-and-trusted horizontal ones?
I moved a radiatior from an internal wall to beneath the window and found it more efficient at heating the room, I don't know the science behind it but most radiators are sited below windows, there is a cost to your plan, am thinking shorten your curtains..;-)
