moving phone

I want to move the phone socket to a new location a few feet away. It will entail cutting the phone cable and reconnecting. Is this a difficult thing to do?

It's simple. Disconnect cable from phone. Cut it, strip back the wires from the cut ends. Get another section of telehone cable or multicable and simply connect it between the now stripped bare ends . Make sure red goes to red, green to green and that the bare wires are well insulated from each other. When you have finished, plug your cable back in and bob's your uncle.
