Moving large-ish sum of money

If i want to move a large sum of money which is currently in a building society account, to my current a/c with BoI (for a short while until i set up a new savings a/c elsewhere) will there be any charges or tax to pay? Surely i dont have to pay tax if the money is already mine?

Can't see how/why you would be liable for tax simply on transferring money in this way.

Yeah that's what i thought but there was a seed of doubt in my mind about moving money between banks. Thanks for your reply.
