Hi all... Ive owned an investment property for the last 2 years..just wondering if I sell my own home and move into my investment property would I be liable to capital gains for the entirety of that morgage even though it would now be my principle private residence or would i just be liable for the 2 years it was rented ?...and also If i informed the bank would they automaticaly change my morgage rate from an investment rate to a residential rate or would i need to negotiate a new morgage to do all of the above ?...any advice on this is much appreciated.. thanks.
