I want to move money from a very low interest paying account in Bank of Ireland to AIB. I have decided on the account in AIB but just wondering what way do I bring the funds into AIB i.e. do I request a draft / write a cheque or what??
Why AIB ? Have you read the 3 best buy threads here?
The easiest way to transfer the money is online using internet banking. A cheque would also work or simply withdraw the cash and deposit it in the new bank.
AIB deposit rates are not great. I was onto them couple of weeks ago enquiring bout a lump sum deposit, BOI were offering a better rate than them! Plenty of better options out there.

If you have online banking on the BOI account you can set up the AIB account as a payee under the Payments - Money Transfers tab. You just need the account number and sort code when setting up.
