Moving from JB to JA

Hi everybody. I know it might take up to 2 months while waiting for JA ,would anybody knows if its possible to apply for JA while I am still getting JB?

SW make the moe to get you over to JA in advance of exhausting your JB entitlement. It's easier than a 'new' claim to JA so the wait might not be as long as 2 months. If you have a gap, then the CWO may pay you SWA while you wait for it to come through.

my JSB was up on 17/12/2009. Got letter from SW with forms to fill and move to JSA. Filled all forms and passed then on to the local SW on 22/12/2009. Then has been advised to apply for payments from CWO which I did.
Many posts here says that it's "easy" if you moving from JSB to JSA... Does anybody went through this ? And how long does it take? Thanks...

I think what is being said is that it is 'easier', not 'easy'. each claim is dependent on how complicated or not a person's circumstances are. The fact that your claim was sent for outdoor investigation suggests that it is not as straightforward as others. The length of wait is dependant on backlogs in offices, availability of investigators so impossible to give a timelag for an individual case. Added to this is the actions being taken now againgst paycuts. Are you getting the equivalent payment fromf CWO in meantime?
