Hi,
I have been living in Ireland for 9 months now and will be moving back to Denmark, were I originally come from in mid December.
I have been told that I can claim back my tax payments and my PRSI as well. I have no idea how to do this! And what other things I need to be aware of when leaving Ireland.
I have been told that I will get a P45 from my employer when I leave, stating my earnings. Furthermore I have been told that I should fill in a
P60 with the information I have from my P45 to claim back overpaid taxes.
Here after I was told to send the P60 to Revenue with bank details etc.
I called the Socail and Welfare Office regarding my PRSI payments and was sent a "Application form for Refund of PRSI contributions or Helth Levy". According to this form I can only get PRSI back if I am over 70 (which I'm not), pay maintenance to a spouse (this is not the case=, received Maternity or Disability Benefit (not the case either) or have a medical card. I do have a blue European Unian medical card. But the ID number from that card doesn't match the number of digits that I have to put in the form. So I guess it isn't that card.
Furthermore I told told that when I have my P45 I can apply for a E301 form, which is somekind of proof of what I paid in PRSI. Can anyone explaim what this is and why I need this?
Can anyone perhaps explaim how this works, because I think its very confusing! What needs to be done, which forms I need and why?
Thank you!
