Mould in kitchen cabinet

We have a brand new kitchen. Unfortunately, part of it was installed on top of wet plaster. Now we have mould in one of the cabinets. It's only in one area, in one cabinet, but has recurred after an initial bleaching.

Any ideas on how we could contain and eliminate it?

Is the area behind cabinet completely dried out as if still damp mould will grow back again! Any source of wet/damp coming trough the wall?.

I moved the christmas tree one year in corner of my walk in wardrobe, spotted damp, turns out bit of plaster fell out from under the tiles right at the edge on the exterior and rain getting in. once sealed, dried out, mould killer and paint, never returned!

Was it a diy job, otherwise Id be looking into it further if you didnt consent to the cabinets being installed on wet plaster.

Thanks for the reply. The wall outside has been re-dashed so no cracks or anything. There is a chunk of random wire sticking out the back, at a point somewhat close to where the mold is appearing. Do you think rain could be getting in there?

All plaster seems completely dry.. is there any chance a patch could be retaining damp behind this cabinet? Kitchen is in about six weeks.

Id investigate the wire issue further this looks like your problem, think the term is a cold bridge, I know my family member building at moment and he not using the metal wall ties that we used as could pull in moisture...

i found this article very helpful when I had discovered the damp behind my large Christmas tree box. http://www.rd.com/home/damp-walls-whats-the-problem/
