Motorcycle Driving Licence

Can anyone shed some light for me please on a driving licence and theory test q?

in 2002 I had a provisional licence for motorcycles up to 250cc.I stopped riding bikes in 2004 and never got a full licence.

I have a full licence for category AM and B since 2002 (am was automatically given with B back then)

am looking to get a bike now category A. Do I have to do the theory test or can I apply directly for a learner permit on the basis that I have a full licence for AM?

I know test centres are currently closed but Perhaps someone with experience can help. From my understanding of attached I shouldn’t have to do a new theory test. Is that correct? Or has it been too long.

You will need too do the theory test and the ibt course.
Am is a moped.
Cat A is the best option.

I think you'll also have too wait until Covid is finish as theroy test center and most ibt courses are on hold for the time being.
You can download the theory app and have a go answering the common questions.
The cul de sac sign caught me out doing my actually test

Thank you. Got in touch with driving licence Centre who confirmed if I had a theory test for that category on file I wouldn’t have to do another. Unfortunately I don’t for that category so am booked in late August. Thanks for replies
