10 working days is the norm, unless there are problems agreeing the pre accident value.

Financial Regulator says 10 days.

You should phone insurer or whoever you settled with after 5 days just to be sure.

If a 3rd party was to blame for your loss, you are entitled to car rental for up to 2 weeks.

Depends on the case - were you advised there was no problems ?

If that then the FSO has no say in it. ie. if fraud is involved.
 
Recently happened to me - once I sent in the vehicle registration cert it was 14 days until I received the cheque.

I was told though that it was delayed due to their being short-staffed.
