I see Noonan is planning to increase the Motor Tax in the budget.
Do you think he will scrap the cheaper 'Green' Tax for cars 2008 and older??
 
Reports certainly indicate he's going to claw back some of it. I'd be very angry if I'd bought a 08 or newer car to save on tax.
 
Not as angry as I am every year paying nearly €500 in tax on a car that now costs €160 to tax.

Exactly!! I have 07 Octavia with 78k Km's, I spotted very nice 08 one with the same mileage same spec etc in nearby dealer. He wanted €5500 :eek: and my car had 9 months tax on it....... The deal wasn't done....
