moss in a lawn

anyone know what's the best method to kill moss in a lawn?

Get "sulphate of iron" from your local garden centre or farm store and apply by hand. Don't let it get on paths, tarmac etc. Rake out the moss when its dead. Better done in Spring unless you want to be looking at a black gargen all winter.
