Mortgatge and Rent Relief

I am a home owner and i claim TRS on Mortgate Repayments, if i was to rent out a room, am i also etitled to claim interest relief also????

What about the rent-a-room scheme? How much rent do you reckon you'd receive?

you'll be under the limit for paying tax on the income - to claim rent a room a relief you need to complete a form 12 return (so if you rent now, return due Oct 08).

Could rent relief be claimed where a person is renting a room somewhere and using it 3 days/week - spending the rest of the week in their primary residence - where they have a mortgage/TRS & are renting out rooms themselves??
